Would you join me as I share a short testimony about what God has been revealing to me lately?
God never ceases to amaze me!! As I was praying for His guidance on a year-end fundraising effort God kept pressing on my heart to do something I hadn't done in my twelve plus years of serving on staff with FCA. To lean into Him and in a step of faith, to ask in a BIG way for the funds we need to continue ministering to the North San Diego Inland Area.
I was inspired by other ministers in our area and around the county as they boldly communicated their needs and God kept pressing on me to do the same. I faithfully seek on a regular basis to pursue cheerful givers to the Kingdom work we're doing and never want anyone to give out of guilt or obligation.
God has been teaching me along the way that I can't ask for a number so large that He can't provide for the need and reminding me that I don't have the ability to influence or motivate people to give. He's the One Who moves in people's hearts to support His work!!
As I continued to wrestle with the idea of this larger ask, I was meeting with a faithful teammate and supporter when they surprised me by asking me to pursue a big year-end giving campaign. If they only could've felt what was going on inside me as God had confronted me so directly through someone else with His plan!! They asked me to pray about an amount... (God had already given me the amount!) and to top it off they wanted to help with the challenge and pledged to match up to $10,000 of the goal!!
So here I am, moved, confronted, and left without any excuses or doubts. This is what I need to do and as God has provided over the last twelve plus years of FCA, I'm trusting that He will provide again!!
Now the rubber meets the road! I have to ask for your support. Will you, along with the wonderful matching gift, help meet the financial need God has presented? Will you help raise $25,000 over the next 25 days??
